Law of Attraction Success Story May 28, 2010

Yesterday, I attended an Abraham-Hicks Law of Attraction
seminar and met one of the most powerful woman who had
produced a business out of thin air with her simple, clearly
stated intentions to “do something that engages my creativity
and is fun”, “make more money than I need”, and “have fun
with the people I do business with.” This is the third business
(at least) that she’s super-performed using these clear intentions
and lining herself up with them.

This business was green – so you’ll like it. She saw an
intriguing looking piece of fabric from across the room
at an antique sale, and worked her way over to it. It
turned out to be a grain sack from Europe that the dealer
used to protect the furniture he sent to the show. He had
20 of them he was throwing out. She bought them all for
$20.

A week later someone saw them in her store and wanted
to buy them. At first she resisted, because she thought -
I only saw these once – I’ll never be able to get more. But
she immediately felt the wrongness of that idea – they were
grain sacks from Europe – the entire European continent was
teeming with them.

Well, she went on eBay and found a woman selling one
who told her how to source them herself – which she
did. Then she (who had never owned a computer in her life)
had her son set her up with a wordpress blog and she started
blogging about Grain Sacks. At the same time she started
covering  furniture with these sacks as the fabric. (She actually
sold 3/4 of the furniture used in the set design of It’s Complicated,
the recent Meryl Streep movie.) Interest blossomed, she went
through a business model where she was selling onesy-twosies,
rejected that because all the people trying to buy them online were
picky and not fun to service. (Remember her intention was to be
creative and have fun – she held to this intention).

Then she ended up with 3 big customers who were buying from
her in quantity and were fun to work with…and oh, yes – very
profitable. Intention set, allowed, manifested. Beautiful.

Having met her anywhere else, it would have been a story
where you said – “ah, what a wonderful story and how lucky
you were.” Having met her at a seminar dedicated to conscious
creation – talking to her and picking her brain about how she
focused her intentions into clarity, and held them clearly and
then didn’t resist them – allowed them into reality, while sculpting
the details along the way. Mmmm…so good!

Law of Attraction: “Not Having” Thought Commands March 24, 2010

Your thoughts and vibrations command the universe. Your
thoughts are either “having” or “not having” thoughts that spring
our of your states of being. These states of being are emotional
states – how you feel at any given moment. They are knowable if
you learn to pay attention to them.

“Not-Having Thoughts”
These states of being produce “not-having” thoughts which the
universe responds to as commands:

Worried, anxious, angry, perturbed, ornery, agitated, at loose ends,
pissed, feeling hurt, feeling screwed, feeling misunderstood, furious,
impatient, revengeful, depressed.

In all cases, your creation reflects the balance of your thoughts.
Having and “not-having” thoughts contain the same power to create.

But for most people, the “not-having” of something keeps happening
over and over again – sot that they feel like their “having” thoughts are
powerless.

If this is the case for you – reread the list of “not-having” states of being
and ask yourself what portion of your time you spend in one of these states
compared to the “having” states of being.

If you are actually experiencing “not-having” then the greater balance of your time
is spent in “not-having” states of being. Any thoughts you offer out of
these states are “not-having” thoughts – even if you phrase them as
“having” thoughts.

The state of being and the vibration it produces is the operative factor.

Ok – how do I stop these?
Twice daily 15 minute meditation is the fastest way I know to derail habitual
states of being. Have patience with this. It may take two or more months of
daily meditation. In the beginning you may just feel a little relief – that your
mind is not spinning. But as you go on you will begin to feel the difference between
a peaceful state of being (which you get in meditation) and the states of being that
your thoughts produce.

Pay close attention to this difference - because this is where you will see the
otherwise invisible habits of mind – and learn to feel how your thoughts feel.
No doubt they will feel less than peaceful – usually agitated – often fearful.
Once you are learning this you are well on your way to stopping the thoughts
if you keep up your meditation.

Be aware that on any given day you can find yourself thrown back into old
patterns of thought as though you had never made any gains at all. The mind
is like an addict – give that junky a small fix of negative thinking and the next
thing you know you’ll be thinking crap thoughts like a drunk on a one-week
bender.

The challenge here is that you have built up a really powerful Law of Attraction
thing with the long-term habit of  your thought pattern. So it’s really easy
to get your old thoughts started again in such volume that you will feel
pinned to the “not-having” thought like a piece of iron to a supermagnet.

The remedy – stick to your meditation. Learn the feeling of peace. Then
gradually you can also learn the way of thinking better feeling thoughts -
happy, optimistic, hopeful, appreciative thoughts – which are all positively
creative towards the “having” of your desires.

Law of Attraction Having Command – Confidence March 24, 2010

When you are in a state of confidance or strong expectation
you are vibrating with the “having” of whatever you focus on.
Gratitude, love, joy, hopefulness, and optimism also vibrate
with the “having” of something.

“Having” Thoughts
When you are in these having states of being, your creations
are being amassed for you in a kind of escrow account. Once
you have deposited the full escrow amount for a creation – it
appears.

If manifestations are slow in appearing, your are offsetting your
“have” thoughts with “not having” thoughts or vibrations. See the
next post for more on this.

Law of Attraction Concept March 24, 2010

Your thoughts command to the universe.

But your thoughts are either a “having” or a “not-having” command.

In truth, these kinds of thoughts actually reflection of your underlying vibration
of “having” or “not having” whatver you are thinking about. And in truth it is your
vibrations that are doing the creating.

The only question you need to ask yourself when you think a thought to know
what kind of thought you are thinking is: would I be thinking this thought if
I already had what I want? Or better, if I already had what I want, how would
I feel and what would I be thinking about it?

Law of Attraction – Why you think what you think, and how you are always in control September 16, 2009

Why you think what you think is somewhat covered in the Abraham-Hicks work, although there is a finer point to be put on it. A-H frequently says things like, “if you are in despair, you just can’t reach for or find hopeful thoughts or thoughts of appreciation from there.”

Which kind of begs the question about where we are “reaching”  to to find these thoughts.

Folks, in case you are not paying any attention to your thoughts, there is actually a very real and great big stream of consciousness of which we all partake. And you, the vibrational being who emanates specific vibrations – through thought, emotion, and your beingness – you are constantly vibrating in the frequency range of a specific and small part of that huge stream of consciousness.

What does this mean? If you spend all day thinking about tennis – you will easily have access to thoughts and events that revolve around your tennis thoughts. It could be something like noticing four people with broken ankles right after the tennis player you bet your house on lost a match due to a broken ankle. Or if you are angry at someone, you will very easily tune into a range of angry thoughts, including every bad quailty about the person you are angry at…and many other people’s bad qualities as well.

This seems straightforward enough, right?

But one other thing can happen when you are really focused on a subject. And by focused I mean extremely focused, either negatively or positively: extreme anger or extreme joy. When you are focused in an extreme it is not unusual for the thoughts to feel like they are thinking you. That is, thoughts flow into you without your choice…they just flow and flow and flow.

If you hear “crazy” people talk out loud, you can hear that non-volitional stream of thought rolling on through. If you’ve ever experienced a big crush on a boy or girl, you know the feeling of only being able to think about and focus on and talk about that other person…again the non-volitional flow. This is being in the flow of appreciation for that other person.

I think it is extremely important to recognize that almost all the “normal” (which is to say barely conscious)  thoughts you experience in the day are a function of just being tuned in where you are and being in non-volitional receiving mode. This is like weaving a blanket of your future without thinking about it.

I also think it is extremely important to recognize that if you are to become a deliberate creator than you must take hold of your thoughts and begin to offer deliberate thoughts of appreciation for where you are going and not just keep tuning into where you are and thinking the same kind of thoughts everyday and expecting change to occur.

If you were to read those last two paragraphs and truly understand them and then actualize that understanding you could revolutionize your life. Period. It’s that simple.

But ah, the stream of your consciousness – the stream of your habitual patterns of how you have always thought – this stream has it’s own force and power you must overcome.

The only way to overcome it is to force yourself into patterns of appreciation and gratitude. The nice thing is that when you do this for a little while the old patterns soften quickly and then it gets easier and easier to deliberately create and, henceforth to escape your normal patterns.

Deliberate creation then quickly begets more deliberate creation. And like the kid who has just learned to ride a bike, you want to stay on that bike all day every day. You are free and in a very different kind of flow with access to a very different part of the stream of consciousness.

Law of Attraction: Weight Loss Advice – Nothing for Sale Here Folks August 27, 2009

Posted by cshav10 in Uncategorized.

I’ve been working with my weight issue via the techniques taught by Abraham-Hicks. This post will review the techniques I’m using – nothing to sell here. Just stuff out of Ask and It Is Given Mostly and the new book, The Vortex.

This is producing interesting learning but no weight loss yet. (I will say that I feel much, much better about myself however. And my self-talk is kind, even in front of a mirror. A big improvement!) .

A desire for bodily change is a good way to learn how to become a deliberate creator because the condition is always there and present and seemingly stuck or resistant to change. AH defines these stuck situations as ruts or grooves of vibration that we have a hard time climbing out of. They get a momentum of their own, because you constantly see them and respond, see them and respond, see them and respond. This forms an endless loop of similar vibration. The deeper the rut of seeing and responding, I also observe, the more that I frame the situation up as “I want its opposite.”

And the deeper the rut, the more difficult it becomes to reach for just a little bit of relief.

The law of attraction is hard at work here because as I start to focus on “being stuck” and I get more of being stuck. And actually part of the “being stuck” is the desire to be “completely unstuck”. But notice that being ”completely unstuck” has the same impatient feel or vibration about it. There is no ease or happiness or delight. Nothing but frustration. This is what keeps me stuck.

So how to find the incremental step of relief to climb out of this deep rut?

First I am going to go and yell out the window:
I HAVE TO DO THE WORK TO FIND THE THIN VIBRATION!!! READING ABOUT HOW TO DO IT IS NOT THE SAME AS DOING IT. IF I AM NOT ENGAGED IN ACTUALLY DOING THE WORK I WILL NEVER KNOW IF THIS METHOD IS EFFECTIVE OR NOT.

Ahem…now I’m back. Here is what I am doing.

Actually, to precede my active steps, I’ll just say that for the last 4 months I have been eating whatever I felt like it and observing my emotional response to what I ate. Mostly, in this observing, I learned to turn off the negative thoughts that came with eating foods that I defined as “not good for me”.  Over the course of the past 4 months in doing this and turning off the negative thoughts and just reaching for a better thought (like: I love this peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’ve always loved peanut butter and jelly. I was a skinny little kid when I only ate peanut butter and jelly)…since I’ve started this I have become much, much calmer about food. It is rare when I put something in my mouth and feel bad now. It is rare when I have a negative feeling about anything I eat. So, with this progress report, here are the other steps I’ve been following.

1. Recognize the work is in learning how to feel good, great – THIN – or at least better than you feel right now.

2. Resolve to become very picky about your thoughts and emotions and to pivot immediately away from the bad feeling ones that plague you – no matter what.

3. Recognize the intense desire to be unstuck as part of the stuckness and the incessant comparison of how you are feeling now to what you would like to feel (all the way unstuck) as a “bad feeling” pattern – where you are beating yourself up.

4. Stop reaching all the way for thin and happy when you are now overweight and frustrated. Learn to reach for just a small feeling of relief…and then the next small feeling of relief from there… …or you just pivot away from the topic entirely and learn to feel good by attending to things that feel good, if the stuckness has already ramped up into bad feeling.

5. (This is what I am just starting to do on the weight issue) Spend a larger percentage of the time engaged in dreaming about thinness…times when I was thin, what it felt like to be thin, the feeling of my body engaged in many activities when thin, and so on.

I’ll keep you posted.

Law of Attraction – how to use the emotional scale to overcome rage and anger August 26, 2009

How to Use the Emotional Scale:
Identify the emotion that you are currently feeling on the topic or aspect of your life you want to improve. Use the emotional scale below. When you identify this emotion, reach for a thought that is one or two numbers above it on the scale. For example, if you feel in rage, reach for maybe an angry thought or a revenge thought. Such as if you are feeling murderous rage about a driver who cut you off, you might say to yourself: “That guy is just an a-hole. I hope his car hits a pothole, bottoms out and his engine block is destroyed.”

Note the feeling of relief that accompanys this movement up the scale.

You might have to do this for 15 minutes or even an hour. And then when you are kind of settled into anger and your rage thoughts have subsided, you could start trying for a blame thought that brought similar relief. Such as, “It was completely his fault that I came close to hitting him. He just switched lanes without looking. Stupid putz.” And just think of every blaming thought you can conjure up. But don’t stop there. Keep reaching up the scale.

Maybe from there you could reach disappointment. Such as “I can’t believe that idiot made me lose my temper again. I am disappointed in myself for descending to that moron’s level. It is discouraging to find myself back here in this same old rut.”

And if that feels like a little bit of relief and less bitter overall, you could reach for a less pessimistic thought: “It really sucks that I keep getting drawn into these skirmishes over and over again. Will I ever learn?”

And from there you might reach for a little hopefulness. Such as, “Well at least this time I’m not stewing around in rage for days on end dreaming about having a shoot out on the highway with some idiot. This time I actually caught myself and stopped the rage…and I’ve worked my way up into this small state of hopefulness which feels like I actually have some control over my life. Maybe there actually is something to this Law of Attraction stuff. I definitely feel better faster than I ever have before so soon after an incident. I really can’t even feel the rage from here.

And this is an example of how you can get control over your thoughts and pull yourself out of some dark and desparate places of thought and feel better.

It’s good to catch these things early. But you can do this technique from whereever you find yourself. For long-time issues of anger, rage, despair and so on, you may need to work on this for a few months. But you will definitely see improvement in the first week. This will give you the impetus to stick with it. Remember you control your thoughts and what you attract into your life. You are the center of your own power. Don’t give in to those thoughts that seem to just roll on through “the ”your-thoughts-think-you-kind-of-thoughts.”

You have the power to correct this and attract better thoughts.

Here is the emotional scale:

Emotional Scale:
1. Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Freedom/Love/Appreciation

2. Passion

3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness

4. Positive Expectations/Belief

5. Optimism

6. Hopefulness

7. Contentment

8. Boredom

9. Pessimism

10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience

11. Overwhelment

12. Disappointment

13. Doubt

14. Worry

15. Blame

16. Discouragement

17. Anger

18. Revenge

19. Hatred/Rage

20. Jealousy

21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness

22.Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

Rant of Appreciation for Jerry and Ester Hicks August 25, 2009

This is a rant of appreciation for the information being added to human knowledge by Jerry and Ester Hicks. It is so good. My human – bird trapped in a bird cage – soul is so deeply appreciative of this information. All of my life I have yearned to know, and I mean KNOW about how to make this thing called life WORK. I have been very clear that I am in the greatest device (human body) ever created – and that I didn’t have a rented clue where the keys were. And now with all of this information pouring into my reality I can finally see, hear, know: what to do, how to be, what to think, how to think, how to interpret emotional data, what my thoughts mean, what they don’t mean, how to understand what my mind is doing and how to control the flow of creation.

Do you have any idea how fucking wonderful this is.

This is not just a rant of appreciation. This is a rant of my deepest appreciation. This is the rant of a man who had he head jammed into a toilet bowl for a 1000 years and has finally been able to take a deep breath because Jerrry and Ester Hicks pulled him by the scruff of the neck out of the crapper and said, “Breathe motherfucker!”

And I can tell you that the air is pure and sweet and delicious. And it’s like being in a Ferrari convertible with the top down and blowing down the highway now. I mean I’m only going 60 and obeying the speed limit. But the desert is just up ahead with this stretch of wide open road and I am going to just floor it and oper ‘er up and really feel what the expression wind in my hair MEANS.

I am in a fully functioning human body, with full access to my creative ability. I am a divine soul with FULL CREATIVE POWER should I CHOOSE TO USE IT.

It does me no good to pretend otherwise. I can’t pretend if I wanted to pretend. I think therefore I create. I experience, therefore I create. I emote, therefore I know where I am and can course correct to where I want to be.

Life is good, therefore I create more. I expand. I ENJOY. I am IN JOY.

Thank you Ester and Jerry for the keys to the Ferrari!

LIFE IS GOOD!

Law of Attraction – How to Use the Past to Attract A Better Relationship August 25, 2009

This thing about trying to feel good when you don’t feel good…well it can suck when you’re stuck and can’t find the next better place.

But if the issue you are struggling with is a relationship issue, here’s a good simple technique to try.

Focus on the aspect of the relationship that you want to improve. Then, go back in your memory to a time in your relationship when this aspect was great. Hopefully you will be able to find lots of such moments. And then just relive those memories over and over and over and over and over….just enjoying them, playing with them in your mind.

I recommend taking a walk by yourself where you can just tune out of day to day reality and tune into these memories. Really try to get into them to feel what it felt like back then so that you can actually re-feel the good feelings.

Then relive them over and over and over and over and over again.

When you go to bed at night open them up and relive them over again.

When you wake up, first thing in the morning, relive them over again.

It’s fun to do and definitely tunes you into the vibration of what you want to achieve, rather than the vibration of wanting.

This works especially well for nagging anger or frustration stuckness. This helps derail those persistant harsh repetitive thoughts that kind of take over your thinking – it gives you control back and makes you feel warm and loving again – which is exactly what you will attract from this new vibrational state of being.

Law of Attraction: “Learning about it” is not “doing the work”! August 22, 2009

This may seem obvious on the face of it. But reading about, learning about the how’s and why’s of the Law of Attraction is not the same thing as doing the work.

This has been a kind of life long issue for me, as I really love to learn about many things – but I don’t always like to practice what I am learning.

But I realized immediately in my introduction to the Law of Attraction and the Art of Allowing (or Art of Deliberate Creation) – that as fun and liberating as this felt to learn, the only way that I was going to sustain that high was to actually “do the work.”

Happily, doing the work is making myself happy. Seeking relief. Seeking and finding and creating better feeling states. Leading myself out of chronic bad thoughts, emotions and vibrations – and into better feeling ones from wherever I find myself on the emotional scale.

What I really find useful about the book Ask and It Is Given are the many exercises in the back of the book. And it’s not just the exercises, but the recommendations about when to use each exercise, depending on where you find yourself on the emotional scale. This is very, very helpful information.

I’m three months or so into my practice and am finding that creations are happening at a faster and faster speed. But only when I do the work. When I fall back into the habit of learning but not practicing, things unwind, old habits sneak in, and I attract the same old results I’ve always gotten before.

This itself is a nice proof that the Law of Attraction works. It’s also a giant kick to the seat of my pants to DO THE WORK!!!
